bailing and biners

I was just wondering, I bought some "bail biners" from the hardware store...and just wanted to know what others usually use. It's the little oval shaped screw lock 'biners'
but they had the same size ones for like 2$ or 5$. Big difference. Both said not to hold human weight or something..so I didn't know if there was really a difference or not. They had different metals, so I didn't know if one was better than the other. any help is appreciated....other than the advice of not to bail out on a route and just finish it. haha

You should always leave real carabiners when bailing from a route. A full quick draw is best.

spirits or a wire gate bail biner is best to hold human weight. let us know which route they were left on..

Spirits are your only safe bet. Would you like going climbing with me sometime soon.

haha...I didn't leave any....yet. The idea isn't to leave anything behind, but I really want to start pushing myself to climb harder and I don't really have too many people to climb with. So if I can't finish a route, I don't really want to leave behind 5$ worth of equipment, ya know? So I was just looking for the cheapest way to do it.
but no booty yet. sorry guys
Andrew - love too!

Dude, you can stick clip up any route in the red. No need for bail biners

i dunno, i've seen a few sinker nut placements with a stick clip.

if the possibility of loss of life or limb to you comes down to $2 vs. $5 vs. $10, then by all means, go cheap.

Or JB will happily hang your car keys on the anchors!
