I'm coming up this weekend and I was just wondering if there is anywhere close to Miguels to go swimming and take a break from the heat.

Mill Creek Lake is close but I'm not sure of the swimming policy, there is a pool at the lodge ( below the lodge) you can find plenty of pull offs along the 715 route and others that you can get wet at... go exploring

At Mill Creek your allowed to wade in the run off, but your not allowed to swim in the actual lake. Kind of sucks.

Sometimes the run-off pool is a human stew pot.

We got kicked out of Wolfe Lake by a state trooper yesterday, so i guess the policies there have changed.

The main lot, not on the side of the road, but i don't think it matters. From what i remember, the police would only get involved if you had parked on the side of the highway. Guess its not the case anymore

I always thought it was just the opposite, I have seen cops ticketing peoples cars in the lot and I have never been messed with on the side of the road. but oh well, I guess it probably is not the case any more.
