We're going to a friend's wedding in Seattle this weekend, and all the hotels I've looked up on tripadvisor and travelocity for under $100/night sound dirty and scary. I just came back from spending $18 for an entire week in Maple Canyon. Blech.

Anybody know someone in the downtown Seattle area who wants a couple bedwarmers this weekend? We'll pay $70/night. ;)

Go to the top of the Space Needle while you are there. Try the Gooey Duck too

that's because they are! Seattle has some rockin bars but some shitty hotels if ya go cheap. Over towards bellvue (spelling?) is some more reasonable ones. I'd jus suck it up and pay for something nice and not have to worry about it. Whats another 50 or so after all the other expenses - ya know?

what about a youth hostel? when i went to boston i was able to stay in a hostel for a very reasonable price - maybe $15/night. the hotels in the area were charging $300+ also got to meet some neat people.

is Seattle the other motherland for computer geeks?

i'm sure your time is pretty booked with wedding stuff, but if you get some time, try out pike street market. you might get to see a fish fly and when all the vendors have their produce and flowers out, it is quite the piece of eye candy. oh and, the three women (?) bakery makes great baked goods. all of them!

Yasi, go to Fremont and bivy under the Lenin statue or even better at the Troll under the bridge- amazing place Fremont but not for the low hippie tolerant.
