OK. So we tried to find Indian Castle and I think we went up the wrong line. We scrambled up to a small ledge and went up the huge crack angling right at about 60 degrees on the right side of the pinnacle. This thing was too big to be considered a hand crack? Could not find satisfactory protection to top out, so we improvised to lower and figure we missed it. So where is the real crack in relationship and anyone know what the one we went up is? Thanks.
Pick myself up, stop lookin' back.

oh you don't lower off of indian castle...you untie and climb down a hole to the ground... i think you may have been at the right crack though... i remember it being pretty big. not a route i ever want to do again...
You were on route. its a nasty OW and then a horizontal and a small overhang. There was a loose block there but my 3rd may have knocked it out. He took a swing. I traversed right a bit from there and toped out. The view is stellar. The route sucks. The decsent through the hole and out the other side is the fun part. You wedge yourself in the sqeeze chimney and its sort of controled falling or sliding.

YEah, over the years I've heard the same thing over and over about this route. Maybe someone should not include an updated description in the next guidebook in order to preserve the character of this route.
