how fast could a pig that big run? I'll bet the kid had time to pack gunpowder in the bullets himself between shots.

I read it, but with skepticism. This was a pet pig, raised by human hands. I'm sure after the first bullet he realized he needed to get away, but please... "3 hour hunt"? I doubt it is because the pig was running and evading them.
