How can I print a "single page guide" for Midnight Surf, Slab City & the Boneyard?

The crags are listed in the index for the single page guide, but I can't find any text.

http://www.redriverclimbing.com/RRCGuideV2/show_all.php

Are the crags too new or am I looking in the wrong place?

thanks in advance, PLJ

Howdy Peter,

Try using Firefox to load the single page version of the online guide. I was having problems with IE (both 6 and 7) where the page would timeout and stop loading somewhere around Roadside. It's not the site, it's the browser. :) Hopefully that will work for you too.

I had the same problem. You have to use Firefox to load the single page version. *cough cough* it would still be nice if there was an option to view all the routes at a wall with their descriptions. It would make printing much easier.

yeah but then why buy a written guide book, if you can print out the whole online guide?

I guess you could, but why would you want to? It would be a 1000 pages, weigh a ton, and cost a fortune.

Not what you asked for, but another option:

http://www.muirvalley.com/muirvalley_gu ... rch=Search

This is a link to a listing of all the routes in the "Main Valley North", which includes Boneyard, Midnight Surf, Slab City, and the Arsenal. Because the routes are assembled by a conditional search engine, they are in alphabetical order rather than left-to-right. Most of the routes are marked with engraved disks near the start of each route about eye level with the name and difficulty rating.

The MV search engine allows you to assemble custom lists according to several criteria, such as "list me all the routes in the Tantroft hollow that are trad and rated above 5.10." Because this can produce a skip and miss list of routes, listing them left to right doesn't really work. That's where the route i.d. disks come in handy.

be careful with Rick's version, becasue the routes are the Surf are not listed correctly. That is my fault. If it has a red tag, it is not open. If there is no tag, it is open. That should help with some confusion. An easier way is this..once you reach the wall, there is a big tree close to the wall that seperates it into two halves. Looking at the wall, every sport climb to the right of the tree is open (5 lines). every sport line to the left of the tree is NOT open(4 lines).

Thanks Kipp.

Also, forgot to mention:

You can create and print a pdf file listing the routes you selected by clicking the "Create" button.

Yep, Ill send a word doc too. I have been syncing the word doc with my PPC phone and taking that to the crag. Now that I get servcie most places it kills two birds. I have to admit though its a drag when it rings. Kinda ruins the experience. With Nancy being pregnant its necessary though.
