one hundred years of solitude

i just finished reading One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabrial Garcia Marquez and it was one of the best books I have ever read. I
see why it won him the Nobel Prize in literature. He captures both the
fragility and absurdity of life with out trivializing it or falling into
nihilism. His perception into the human condition is amazing and despite
the tragic leanings of the book it leaves you with a warm feeling of
belonging. You have an ironic sense that the solitude that each human
feels is really a tie that brings us all together. He presents the fantastic in the same sense as the mundane and the reader is compelled to believe all of it.
I highly recommend it to anyone.
