City of Rocks - Idaho
Has anyone ever climbed there? Might be out that way this summer and need some beta.
i was out there last summer for a weekend, pretty cool place. we did some easy longer (5 pitch) bolted routes but I can't remember the names. if you want a fun, relaxed day go get on them. you can chase shade most of the day. theres a place in town that sells beer now, just got their license last summer. again, i can't remember the name but it was a neat little country store type place with good food.
Sand inhibits the production of toughtosterone, so get it out and send.
climbed there with Don two years back, had alot of fun on the 4 pitch 5.7 sport route.

grew up near there. it is a rad area, sort of like j-tree at altititude. there are lots of classics but they are sort of spaced out. lots of sporty routes with old bolts. for newer safer routes check out castle rock down the road. more of the same thing with modern development techniques.
whatever you do there it is pretty awesome. one of the prettiest places i have climbed.
