Not sure when it will be available, but interesting none the less. Would make a good addition to the first aid kit. Might be better than a sam splint, apart from the whole heat thing.

It could be better, but how much will it cost? It doesn't look like it's reusable, but if it weighs significantly less than a SAM, it'll be great for backcountry goers.

If it uses the same basic technology as a hand warmer.... I doubt the cost will be much.

Wonder what it would feel like putting a cast on moments after a break or bad sprain. The swelling would make it pretty uncomfortable. I guess it would all depend on how hard the thing got.
