We're planning on taking a cruise to the Carribean later this spring. Anybody ever done any climbing at any of the destinations?

Went to Cayman Brac in 1999- place is just fab. It was so cool my hippi wife and i ended up staying a week longer than expected- lots of cool sea cliff routes...hanging/ ledge belays just above the water....big-ass turtles floating by...barracuda....cannibis....redstripes....jerked chicken...live music....AWESOME POCKETS!....diving....nice locals. Mr. Audley is the island's constable, avis rental agent and priest(of sorts). Hooked us up with a rental and then hooked us up!

The Baths at Virgin Gorda has some wild bouldering. Some of it is protected by the ocean if you fall.

I'll jump on the Cayman Brac Bandwagon. Went there 3 years ago and had a blast. It's easy to rent a house and there is climbing scattered all over the island. You can fly right to the Brac from Miami skipping the puddle hopper from Grand Cayman and that will be the most expensive part of your trip. The Tsunami was good for the Brac. It created some white sand beaches where exposed sharp rock used to be. Bring a rope and draws that you don't mind getting hammered by the saltwater and expect some of the most bizarre and interesting climbing you'll ever experience...

Craig Leubben told me that alot of his routes on Cayman Brac had been ruined by the saltwater.... badly rusted hardware and such.
Could have all been retrofitted by now. May wanna check it out....

Most of the routes seem to have been retrofitted with titanium Glue in bolts when I was there. Expensive but bomber...
