I watched this movie last night. Subtle, complex, and sensitive. Highly recommended. Reminiscent of the best of Fellini and Bergman.
ZSpiddy
Borat
It was OK. Parts were really funny, some parts dry. I could have done without seeing a very large naked man's berries.
Sarcasm is a tool the weak use to avoid confrontation. People with any balls just outright lie.

Re: Borat
Got interrupted, so I haven't seen the whole movie yet, but are you fucking kidding me? Comparing anyone to the genius of Fellini or Bergman is not to be done lightly.Zspider wrote:.....Reminiscent of the best of Fellini and Bergman.
/edited cause I am personally disgusted by zspider on so many levels I was a dick. Despite the intense level of hatred I have for him personally, it has nothing to do with this conversation.

I can't say I have ever seen Fellini or Bergman, but Sasha Cohen is great at catching stereotypical people, and forcing that personality type to deal with an unfamiliar situation. I thought the movie had a little too much scripted in-between scenes but the people interaction was hilarious.
How you compare may not be as important as to whom you are compared
Fellini and Bergman are genius directors the likes of which very few directors can compare. Borat may be a good film, but I'd hesitate to put any living directors at their level. These are the guys that defined intelligent film making, the Kafka's of their craft.
