Hi,
So a bunch of Ohioans are going to hueco tanks in march. my problem? i will be there from march 17-24, and no one gets there until the 19th. by chance is anyone going to be there that first weekend? i'd like to (kinda) know someone before i go blindly trying to make friends down there. just post, or PM me. thanks!

Go post on boldering.com that you need hueco beta and a partner. Be ready for all kinds of trash talk, etc. Then post a naked photo. You will have plenty of offers for a partner.

Or, you can do like I did - show up at the rock ranch with a 24 pack of ale-8 and a 1.75 of knob creek, get everyone drunk, and have plenty of people to climb with.

I'm thinking of going, but not sure what the process is. is it too late for reservations?

i could look into going...i've got that weekend off...and it's a 10 hour drive for me...

not sure on the reservations... they have a reservation phone number on the hueco state park web site, and when i called i just basically told them i wanted to climb, and asked what i had to do. i know i am covered sunday through friday, but i have not received the confirmation email yet, so who knows? i am happy people sound like they will be there! my plan is just to sleep in a car at the rock ranch, since i am covered for climbing. and haas, you will be getting a pm from me!

oh, and wes... if i am going to pose for naked photos, i am going to need a photographer..
