mouth pain

so for the past 3 days, my tongue has felt burned, my mouth has been really dry, and my voice is hoarse...and i have slightly lost my appetite (although this might be because the way my mouth feels?). at first, i thought i had burned my tongue with some hot tea, but i don't remember drinking anything too hot. now, i'm thinking maybe i have some kind of mouth disease. anyone know what's wrong with me? this is an easy, open shot for most, however, a serious answer would be nice too.

ho...i don't have any ideas, but i am sure that some smartie on this board will have a genuine suggetion or two...i do hope you feel better soon, BUT...

more than anything i just wanted to be part of this thread from the beginning. you starting this thread, now that is ironic.

Do your palms feel inflamed? How about the bottoms of your feet? Sounds like hand, foot, and mouth disease. It's going around among school children, so it isn't out of the question. I had a mild case of it when my kid was little.

no bad palms or feet...well, my palms and knees are a bit raw, but that's from something else.

Look at the back of your tongue and your cheeks. If you see white patches, you may have a yeast infection. Common and easy to cure.
