Name and Logo

Post by ray »

Can anyone suggest a good name for the site?
Also, is anyone good with Adobe, etc. to create a logo?

Very good question that will take some thinking!

Do you know any graphic designers? There's always the Dreaded Tony {and I really hate to say his last name} Reynaldo? That should be motivation enough to come up with another person!!

well geek that I am I was thinking about logos last night and then realized the site needs a name first. Once a name is determined, maybe a logo will follow logically... I'll have a think about it. I hope I don't break anything.

Ray, Lemkuhl has done some good stuff like that. Maybe he'll do it.

That's a good idea berlier! Jeff has been doing some cool stuff lately.

"The Red Zone" or "You are in the Red ZONE...."

"This ain't no peep show, ya hear" {Steve walters on Time steeles video}

Are you looking for a single word name or what?

Hmmm, I liked Red Zone but a Google search reveals quite a few "Red Zone" sites out there... apparently to do with sports other than climbing.

The only ideas I could come up with are pretty straight forward:

"Red Climbers" ..of course that could imply we are a bunch of commies. Maybe that's a plus?

"Superficial Climbers" which ties into your domain name, but otherwise doesn't really do anything for me - I think it would be cool to incorporate the word "superficial" into the logo, though, if the ultimate design lends itself to that.

"Red River Rock (Climbers/Climbing/etc)" but a Google search reveals that to be someplace in New Zealand

Something goofy like "Red Trad River Sport Gorge Boulder"

"Red River Gorge Rock Climbers who have full time jobs but would rather be climbing" or "RRGRCWHFTJBWRBC" but that's a little cumbersome

I dunno.. I'm having a creative block here!

Then there's my idea to parody Kentucky Fried Chicken - Kentucky Fried Climbers.. logo would be Col. Sander's head carved in sandstone, a'la Mt.Rushmore, with a climber pulling a roof crack on his nostril..

Anyone else?

It doesn't have to tie into superficial. I can grab any domain name as long as it's available.
