Trouble breathing

For the past few weeks I've been having trouble breathing. I feel like I can never get a full breath. Kind of like when you have to yawn but just can't. It's very uncomfortable. It happens to me about once a year. I've been to the doctor for it before but they can't find any issues. They've run tests and say I have an excellent respiratory system. Anyone ever experience this?

I've run into this as well SCIN, before i started smoking and sometimes since. It took me out of a few soccer games. Never could find the reason. Did you lose your diaphragm?

You physically can't breathe in a full breath or when you breathe in a full breath it doesn't feel like a full breath?

I was going thru that about a month or so ago.
Really freaked me out but just kept dealing with it hoping it would go away.
Went to an allergy doc and he put me on a twice a day inhaler for asthma.
Not much changed for a few days. It got so bad at work one day I left and went to urgent care.
He said it was a sinus infection.
I've had sinus infections in the past but never with the breathing thing.
I took the course of antibiotics and decongestints and it went away.
No longer taking the inhaler.

Thanks. Saxman, I'm not really sure if I'm getting a full breath or not because there's no way for me to gauge it other than what I'm feeling. I don't think I've lost my diaphragm.

It very well could be allergies or sinus since I'm pretty susceptible to both of those. Since it goes away, also as with Jeff's case, it must be something temporary like allergies or sinus. It's a terrible feeling. I can't imagine what asthmatics go through. Feeling like you can't get a full breath is a really bad feeling.

I use to drink Mt Dew a lot. When I would drive long distances, I'd down 4 or 5 in a matter of a few hours. There were a few occasions where I'd get that sensation of not being able to get a full breath and I figured it had to do with the amount of liquid I had consumed while sitting in the driver's seat.

I haven't experienced this ever since I started limiting the amount I drink while driving.

Funny you mentioned that. The only thing I've changed lately was the amount of water I've been drinking while I'm at work. I started trying to drink more water about three weeks ago and that's how long this has been going on. May be a coincidence but it's definitely worth looking into I guess.

LOL dude your bloated stomach from all that water is causing breathing problems...

Careful dude, did you hear about the women that died from drinking too much water too quickly? It was part of some radio contest...she won but then well lost.
