Lost & Found from MV Gathering

The following items were found from the volunteers at the MV Gathering yesterday:

Polar Max black long-sleeved shirt
Black Solstice fleece top
Black Eastern Mtn. Sports Polartec, women's M
Black ProSpirit Jacket, women's, Size M
Navy blue Morgan Mills thermal top
Stearns tan and blue rain jacket, Size M
La Sportiva hiking boots, Size about 10 1/2

Come on guys. I know I go around looking like I desperately need new clothes, but I prefer that donations be size S and not quite so muddy.

I've taken these items home to wash. (My washer at Muir decided to go on the fritz today.) Did someone get smart and just drop off their week's laundry for me??

Still no takers for some of the items listed above which were left at MV last weekend. They are now washed, and I'm taking them back to Muir this afternoon.

Our "Lost and Found" bin contains a lot of climbing gear found over the past couple years in the Valley. If you can describe an item and where you left it, it's yours.

have a controlled burn and it could be used for training for the MVFD- you know the cold and flu and widefire season is approaching and I haven't seen any hope of Kentuckians getting any brighter

Here's a suggestion:

After a stated period of time, place the unclaimed items up for auction. Proceeds go toward the bolting fund.

Any item that is claimed can be "purchased" back for a donation to the bolting fund.

This shold help reduce the number of items left behind by climbers only to be found by others following in their footsteps. . . . Well, maybe not!

Or donate to a local clothing bank....the clothes that is, I don't know if a cam can keep you warm like fleece.

I think Carol still has my red Craftsman gloves.

The black ones with the holes are also mine, as are a pair of leather gloves with my last name written on them.
