No

For a short time about 2 years ago I was having my Vo2 max check as part of a personal training program I was doing. It was interesting to see it go up as I work harder at cardio but I really didn't see much of a difference in my climbing or if I did I doubt it was souly because of my Vo2 max.

For most of us, its just really not that important. For Lance Armstrong, or better yet some euro comp climber trying to win the World Cup, Vo2 probably matters.

It made me feel warm and fuzzy when I plugged my VO2 max into the input box on a random website and the output box said "Excellent." I thought, "Wow, it doesn't matter that I suck at hiking and get winded regardless of how often I do approach trails, I have an Excellent V02 max!!!~`!!`11!!"

"Do you care what your VO2 max is?" as long as it's between consenting adults in privacy - no.
