It's close to Seneca Rocks, a beautiful place to climb. Lots of classic easy climbs.

I used to climb at Nelson when I lived in Virginia, but I heard that it had since closed down... did it close and re-open??

Climbing is closed there, but not the via ferrata.

There's a place around Seneca called Dolly Sods. I always wondered what it was. For as long as I've climbed around Seneca, I wasn't aware of any other climbing aread in the immediate area.

Dolly Sods is an alpine meadow sort of place. Great hiking and some boulders, but not worth a trip just to boulder.
