i just want some electricity to come on in my house so i can take a hot shower. just in case you're wondering, taking a cold shower in the icebox i live in now sucks ass. when i washed my hair, my head went completely numb. it was like a nuclear ice cream headache/brain freeze. it brought me to my knees. everyone should try it at once.

i take cold showers all the time when it's warm, but man there is no way you could experience what i did this morning and do it for 4 weeks straight. i'm not saying you're lying, but you are definitely a tnt motherfucker.

Had no choice. 4:30 am, 600 people in the barracks,= cold shower. Throw in shin splints for good measure. Airborne all-the-way!
And it was in January.

When I was a little kid,we lived in an old house with no running water. We drew water outside from a cistern with a bucket and boiled a gallon or so,we added that to cold water and and had warm bath water. Can you use a camp stove and do the same?

Forget that - I'll just stink. Does the military 'order' people to shower?

Yeah,
There was one guy who never wanted to take a shower. He had black teeth too. We threatened to give him a shower with a wire brush and he finally took one himself.

Once, we went to the Uawaree (sp) National Forest to train with the Special Forces for 21 days. It was 21 days of C-rations, creek water, and no showers. I think I would rather take an occasional ice-water shower than go 3 weeks without a shower!
