Hey everyone,
Well, as most know, Lexington got hit by a pretty bad ice storm.
We lost power in our house and will probably be without power for most of the week. I brought my server up to my mom's house in Cincy and set it up. She has a DSL connection but I'm not sure how stable or fast it is here. It already seems a bit slow but it is the only home for redriverclimbing.com right now until we get power back.
So please be patient. The stability of the site may suck this week.
Thanks,
Ray
ray, i've been driving by your house a lot throwing rocks through the windows. i also got really drunk inside and puked in your stove. another accomplishment was that i just made the 1000th post in this forum.
Yo HO!! Just got me a code red and some funyons big dawg!!! SHIT YEAH! - Ray, excited about his breakfast
Sorry again for the outage this morning. The IP address changes more frequently here than at home. I set the server to update the DNS records hourly though so that should take care of it.
We're learning all about IP addressing and the DNS in Networking class! I actually understand what you're talking about! Woohoo! (But shouldn't a server's IP address be fairly static?)

Well in a perfect world a servers IP address would be static, but when you are running it off of a residential DSL connection it is changed periodically, in an attempt to prevent server hosting.
