Do you miss it when you can't have it?

Being injured and not being able to climb sucks. Climbing is such a demanding sport in that it usually eats up your whole weekend. I used to freak out if I was injured and couldn't get outside to climb but I think I'm learning to deal with it a little better. Especially since I have other things besides climbing going on in my life to fall back on. Having a whole weekend with anything I want to do is a lot more fun these days.
I may be talking out of my ass though because even though I have a foot injury I'm still getting my fix in the gym by setting very specific problems and campusing. But it has been really nice just having the whole weekend to do whatever I want.
Do you freak out when you can't climb outside at least once for a week or do you feel a sense of relief knowing that you can get some things done with that 16+ hours of time?

I'm bored out of my skull if I have to stay home too much. I fell back on my old habit of woodworking but it just isn't the same.My foot injury didn't bother me as much climbing as it did hiking the trails with a pack. Which is how I injured it.

I'm with you, Sir. Yesterday I went horseback riding with one of my grandbuddies. Today, I worked in my flowers. The climbing passion is still there, but I can fix that in the garage now.

I know for a scientific fact that if I don't climb at least once or twice a week I become very harsh dude. My body, mind and spirit need it, like air.
No climbing =

i live in chicago. it's a fact of life that i won't be climbing outside weekly on a regular basis.
i used to go nuts if i didn't get at least 2 days a week in. then the knee thing happened and i haven't been able to motivate as much (used to give 110% every time, now i'm a little fearful that something else will give way).
haven't climbed at all in over 2 weeks. climbed about once every week 'n half since april. i'm getting fat and lazy.
Triple Crown, here i come

man i miss freaking out if i didn't climb everyweekend. there is too much other crap in my life now. I miss climbing being the #1 priority over everything else. It was much simpler.

Not climbing due to injury sucks, but not climbing becouse of other stuff blows. I tried to skip out on Thanksgiving once, and let me tell you what
They seid I was being selfish. Now thats a paid holiday and what better day to climb? The rest of the world needs to understand the mind of a climber and how the body can't go long without it.
