True North Outfitters located in the Red River Gorge is currently accepting applications for 3 full time positions.

Food and Beverage Manager. This individual would manage the staff and operations associated with an upscale restaurant. Must have a love for cooking, food preparation, and excellent social skills. Must work well under extreem pressure and handle the chef 1 or 2 position in the kitchen

Outdoor Guides. Due to our rapidly expanding business we are currently accepting applications for two additional full time guides. Serious applications who possess a professional image and good work ethic need only apply. We have built our reputation around guides such as John Haight and Jim Wilson. Applications must work and travel well with the existing guides (superstars need not apply). Room and board will be provided at the hostel. AMGA training and Wilderness First Aid will be provided. You will be expected to train and volunteer as a member of the Red River Search and Rescue Team. Applicants must be experienced in both sport and trad, mountaineering experience a bonus, but not a mandate. Drug use will not be tolerated, if you can not pass a drug test, donï¿½t apply. Guides will also be expected to supplement their income by helping coordinate and facilitate bike and adventure races, work in the pro shop and/or restaurant. Must be older than 21. You will be expected to climb/train one day a week and participate in a continual personal exercise regiment. Must be available on most weekends. This is a non-traditional job, requiring you to relocate to the Gorge. In the winters you may be selected to be a member of a mountaineering expedition. This life style may not bold well for those married (it takes a very special spouse to tolerate this professional career, thank you Shannon) or with young children.
