I use to use a shoulder length runner girth hitched to my belay loop but switched over to the PAS last fall. I think it works pretty well - the best feature is the ease of adjustabilty. Be careful grabbing for your rope when clipping gear on lead, it is possible to pull the rope through the PAS if you are not careful (same goes for a girth hitched runner).
I just use an 8 and or a clove hitch with my lead line for belay action and normal double length slings for raps and stuff. I do use a daisy for jugging though, wonder if this would be better for that?

I pretty much use the same setup, and was hoping this could replace all that extra gear with one simple tool. But was a little worried about strength and durablilty since at times it is the only point of contact.
Metolius states the standard daisy chain is only strong from end to end and individual pockets on a daisy are designed for bodyweight only. The PAS system claims full-strength individual loops, well over 3000lb.
