Adjustable anchor?

It looks interesting. I think that two of them made out of Titan or similiar cord would work well. Just so long as there would be sufficient friction to lock the prussick into place.

This hitch is taught to rescue personnal for improvising an ascending system with only a cordlette. You can use the same piece of cordlette to tie a prussik on a rope and create two leg loops.
The prussik cord has been tested for pull strength and I think the 5mm accessory cord prussiked on a 10.5 mm rope was holding up to 3,000 pounds. The greater the difference in diameter between the prussik cord and the rope being prussiked, the stronger the holding power. I don't think that there would be enough holding power using a prussik of the same diameter on itself.

That's true about the cord needing to be a smaller size. I wonder if adding additional loops to the prussik would work. From what I've read over on RC.com this set-up is used by the folks that live/climb in Brazil.

This rig us commonly called the Purcell Prusik. It is normally used as a three part set for High Angle Rescue. 1 long on , 1 medium on and one regular small prusik cord. It can be used as a "Frog" system for ascending, as well as many other application. They work quite well on 5 mm cord that is a little dirty or at least not very new, it seems to be a little slick.
They are also used for teathering a rescuer to a litter basket to protect the victim.
