Huntington, WV Climbers (A question?)

Post by Colorscholar »

Hello everyone,

I am trying to find out who is on hear from Huntington that might be willing to chat a bit about the area. I am hoping to take a job at Marshall teaching and want to have some inside info if anyone is willing to share?

Best,
Colorscholar

P.S. I am planning to build a massive bouldering training center if the job thing pans out.

I use to live in Huntington. I now live in Grayson, KY - about 30 minutes away. What would you like to know?

There are a few from Ashland on here and we have climbed with a few Marshall Students. It’s always nice to have another climber in the area.

I used to live in the greater huntington ashland metroplex and climbed most of the rock around the area and even a little thin ice in huntington. The nice aspect of the location is that you are about 2 hrs from the red and roughly 2 - 3 hrs from the new.

As far as "developed areas" The guys in grayson have put up some stuff and then there is lake vesuvius just north of ironton ohio

really just pm me or ask a question
