One Route Only

Post by RRO »

You can keep climbing the rest of your life but you have to chose one route to do over and over. What would that route be and why ?

Whoa, that's a really hard question. Some really long moderate multi-pitch trad route for me (preferably one that has endless variations).

simple. The Eternal Flame on the Great Trango Tower (A.K.A. Nameless Tower) 5.12c A0. It is the perfect route up the perfect mountain. I mean, come on, kids have been drawing that mountain in every kindergarten picture since the Roman Empire.

fine, fine if you want a local route in the Red. Windy Corner. The start gives you that nice cool breeze on hot summer days, great jamming up an overhanging crack to a no hands rest ledge, then a little spice to make everything nice on the second pitch. According to Jordan though, I'll have to brush the top before repeating the 2nd pitch this year.

and by sport I assume you meant sporty, right? I always thought that's how the term got started, as being dangerous, not like some other sport like Sunday afternoon flag football sport, but I guess I could be wrong

Oh, sport. I just noticed this is the sport forum. Duh.

That is tragic.

How far are the runouts? Five feet? Six feet?

I want it to stay spicey!
