SikMonkey, I'd like to know what the size is in US. I wear an 8 1/2 in a street shoe, and wondering if these would be a right fit. I'm not good on my conversions...

Additionally, the Cobras are slippers, but if I'd ever go out of the gym into a crag, can I still use the slippers, or laces better?

Hey ED, I have already sold these shoes, but I can give you some info on them. First, you should pick the shoe that best fits your foot and size it accordingly. Try a bunch of different ones on and be sure to try them out on the wall. The place you buy them will most likely have some kind of climbing wall there. As for sizing, 39.5 is a 7 in US sizes (yeah, it's odd that way). I wear a 10 in street shoe and size mine down 3 full sizes because Cobras are unlined and will stretch quite a bit with some use. Again, how tight your shoes fit is totally up to you. They are great all around shoes (gym climbing, face climbing, bouldering, cracks, etc) and the only reason I sold them was because I wanted to try something else and didn't see any use in having 15 pairs of shoes. As for lace ups vs. slippers, it's another personal preference, but I don't use anything but slippers (although I DO want to try the Red Chili Voodoos soon). I hope this helps. I have a pair of 5.10 Zlippers size 8 1/2 that are brand new and if you are interested I will be at the George this Saturday and would be glad to let you try them on. They are a slipper that uses a zipper in conjunction with an elastic like the Cobra to keep them on. They are $115 new and I am selling them for $75.00. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks.
