Slap Lesion repair 7 months later

In August I had a slap lesion repair (type 3) without having to reattach the bicep tendon. Thankfully, no anchor was needed but I did have my shoulder stitched on both sides...

I was diligent about rehab for 5 months and continued to adhere to home stretches and easy strengthening exercises---but now my shoulder aches so bad I can't sleep again.

I've only climbed three times since month 4 and have been very careful to climb easy things. Last time out I didn't get an adaquate warmup and could not lift my arm with any strength for several days afterwards. Work has been another issue and have been working hard for a couple of months with rigorous physical activity. Ice is a daily routine for me---again. Naproxen is a friend...

I go see the surgeon in a couple of weeks and desperately hope that I have merely dropped off my PT regimen and that I am only suffering muscular soreness (instead of the terrible potential that I have reopened the injury)

Rhunt, J rock---any suggestions?

Climbing always agravates all my old injuries. It would be OK ,but I can't rest the next day because I have to go to work. I guess the answer is to only climb on Sat.

Rags, Sorry to hear your rehab is not going well. I wish I had some advise for you. Believe it or not, I just trashed my good shoulder yesterday on some 5.11 at the Left Field. I had a high left side pull and when I reached out right my left should/bicep made a crunch/snap. My left shoulder and bicep hurts like hell, I can't lift my arm very high....I see the Doc later this afternoon. I am fearing the worse....that I tore my labrum tendon... :( :x
