Hello Everyone,
I feel one of the easiest ways to eliminate the problem at Torrent Falls is to implement a NO Pet Policy. No dogs, cats, ferrets, etc. Rule No. 1 will read as follows:
1. Absolutely No Pets at Torrent Falls Resort. That includes the BBQ. You can leave your pet in the car, but it is best to leave them at home. Strictly Enforced.
Just this past week, we had a dog barking all day long. Other climbers and my daughter, who is home schooling, were finally fed up. One of the climbers shouted "Shut the F_ _ _ up" from the cliff line. If I eliminate the dog problem then hopefully this potty mouth climber can shut the F_ _ _ up. I have a full house (as in lodging) all week and people still have a problem with courtesy. We will see if this helps in keeping Torrent Open or Not. What ever happend to just going up to someone and asking them to nicely keep their dog quiet? You should have heard my daughter, who does not say curse words, try to explain this to Kathy. I am glad my kids can control their use of the English language better than others who happen to be much older.
If you come to climb at Torrent, Leave your pet at home.
Beware, next ban on the list is two legged pets, i.e. JR. He He.
We still love you guys. And this one made me laugh.
Mark

i hope this prediction does not come true but, i will bet torrent falls closes sooner than later. even if Mark post his rules in flashing neon people will still break them and say i didn't see them. face it no matter how hard the rest of us try some jerk will still ruin it the long run. i say close it now, Mark, let your buddies climb there and your guest. the climbing there is good enough to increase your B&B business a little bit. being nice to the climbing community is great and we all appreicate it but the bottom line is it is your buisness or a bunch of rude climbers who are costing you more than they benefiting you.
because i can

No matter how this ends up Mark, you've handled it with patience and grace.Torrent Falls wrote: He He.

Mark the cussing your kids will hear just builds character. Its like having all the benefits of home school, but still being in the public school environment.
I am aslo glad that you still have your sense of humor, becuase I know that I begin to lose it when people are disrespectful. You should include that last sentence about no two legged animals on whatever signs you have. Maybe that will help some people get the idea.

What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.
