Consumables?

How often do you all replace your consumable items?
For me:
At least one, sometimes two ropes a year
I go through maybe five sets of shoe rubber (resoles, and I have a stupid number of shoes) a year
Draws, still have some of my first ones - so they are 7 years olds
Harness, every couple years.
Pack, need a new one, so that would make this one about 4-5 years.
Chalk - maybe a big bag every couple months.

Diet mt. dew. All the good chemicals, none of the redpoint ruining calories. Daily, rather then coffee.

shoes - 1-2 pairs a year
harness - original harness
quickdraws - original draws
rope - i'm on my 2nd rope, ever. may retire it this year.
chalk - a block of chalk every 4-6 months
i've only been climbing for a little over 6 years...the bouldering helps the ropes + harness last longer. i don't use much chalk (usually right before getting on a climb and that's it).
being that i've never really worn my ropes out, how do you tell that it's core shot? i'm assuming that it's more than a extra fuzzed section of sheath. by feeling a soft/dead spot where the rope's core should be? something visually obvious?

I replaced my first harness but thats becuase I had lost 4 inches off my waist and was able to flip out of when it was all the way tightend.
