working vacation

Post by cdent »

My job these days is work from home (Seattle), which really means work from wherever I can get on the internet. I'm going to be in the vicinity of Kentucky for much of April.

Anybody know anywhere not too far from the red I could stay for a week or more that includes a reliable and fast connection?

You can camp at Miguls, stay at the little abner, the state park lodge or Torrent falls, no high speed connections, but Redriveroutdoors has free wireless. Plenty fast enough for web and email. If you need faster, then maybe a hotel in Winchester (35 minutes) or Lexington (60 minutes).

The hostel also is a high speed hot spot with wireless connections and two terminals available for guest.

True North rocks. Great place to stay.
