newly opened crag in the SE

Post by brad mc »

Castle Rock, TN. is now open to climbing. Located on private land (with two landowners), this area is approx. 1/3 mile long, with 60 to 100 ft. sandstone walls with over 50 routes (mostly sport, some trad). The Southeastern Climbers Coalition arranged a lease with the landowners to open the area.

Many thanks to all of the volunteers who donated their time, energy, dollars and sweat to open this crag!

Well done guys! Thanks for the info. We drove by there this winter and it looked like a gorgeous chunk of rock from the road... can't wait to check it out.

Sweet!
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

we could not do it without the support from all of you.

the video at the Triple Crown comp was for our Jamestown purchase which was completed last June.

we are working on a Castle Rock video and will be showing it off at the upcoming Dirty South Film Fest at Foster Falls in late April - 2006.
