Earth

Post by Jeff »

This was taken from the space staion at night. Impressive, but It kinda makes me wanna barf because of the over-population.
You can see I-75.
I think I'll move to Australia.

Just goes to show the population size that potentially can be utilizing the Red. So it's time for everyone to move out west now, not enough lights that way! Git going!
Just genuinely disengenuous.

What the hell is wasted energy anyway? How can you waste something that, if you don't use it goes to waste anyway? Do we want to save it so we can say "Oooh! Damn, look at that big pile of energy over there! Good thing we have all that energy over there just in case we run out during RAW and my TV won't light up!"

With humans, I can understand. If a guy is sitting there trying to touch the same piece of water in a flowing river twice then yes, that is energy that could be better spent doing other things. But calling light wasted? Keep in mind that energy is constant and can only switch forms. :D

well since we don't have an unlimited supply of coal, petroleum, or natural gas - which is what is used to generate the electricity to light those lights (DUH) - yes energy can be wasted. Geezus, people! Do you think it's magic?

What else would we use it for? Gas for my muffler-less GTO that I drive gas station to gas station? It burns a quart of oil a day and smokes like it's on fire.
