Lexington Gym Climbers

Post by Artsay »

I'm toying with the idea of opening up our gym to people over the winter on some Wednesdays as a fundraiser for PMRP. I'm thinking $15/visit with eight people max.

We have tons of problems up right now (80+) but nothing too easy. The gym is best for V2-V10 boulderers. We plan on stripping the walls in January but I'd like to do the first open night fundrasier before we strip the walls so there are tons of problems up. After we strip the walls, I'd like to have this somewhat regularly so folks can have the added bonus of not just a one time bouldering session but a place to train during the winter. All money received will go to the PMRP.

The gym is heated, has 14" of foam padding, two walls (16' 20 degree and a 22' 30 degree), and we recently added a DVD player and TV to watch climbing videos. We have tons of new holds and features too. It's a good time.

Please let me know who's interested. First come, first serve.

That's nice of you guys! That sux that it's best suited for V2 - V10 climbers though. I can only boulder V0- ! Damn this sport and its grading system! :)

Per person. It's a fundrasier man!!! ;)

Seriously though...it costs us about $8 a night in heat alone (we'd eat that cost) and I'd basically be giving up my regular Wed night stuff to hang around for this so it's a lot for me but something I'm worth doing for the cause.
