Another new area in Muir Valley is now open to the public thanks to the efforts of pigsteak and several other developers. This overhanging orange wall is heavily featured with pockets, edges, and giant huecos. It is also south facing and steep so it is a great place to climb on cold or wet winter days. Enjoy!

Be cool to see some photos. Is the rock similar to the solarium? Those last few routes have beautiful orange rock.

I'll put a couple of photos of my wife and a friend in the gallery section. The rock is not as vibrant orange as the solarium lines...(those are hard to beat). but last friday, when it was 35 degrees, we put the finishing touches on a line at the arsenal, and were quite comfortable in a hat and light shirt...that being said, these lines are perfect in sunny winter weather, and will be sweaty sack come June.

Good to know. I'll probably be down there soon. I love this cold weather with sun climbing and that sounds like an alternative to the GMC.
