It's nice that reality is finally being acknowledged as 'sad, but true' even by the extreme right.
I don't want to date anyone here, but I'd be interested in hearing about the following: what was it like as the whole "Watergate" thing started unraveling?
With Delay and Libby indicted, Frist and Rove thinking about all the illegal shit they've done and sweating it, with the details of how the stream of lies about Iraq came to be (and who knew they were lying and when):
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld ... -headlines
with the Republican lobbying scammers like Jack Abramoff (close ties to Delay and Frist) being exposed and probably going to jail, and with the current Republican propaganda machine being unveiled:

it seems that the orgy is coming to an end, and America is going to be left with a bad itch, some running scabs and a bad, bad reputation.
Speaking of patriotism, it seems that once again, the flag-waving schmucks have made their mess, lined their pockets and will be sent home laughing to themselves, and those of us who actually love America will be left to clean up here at home and around the world over the next decades.

Well, let's start with blowing up a couple of Osama's tents with cruise missiles and calling it good, rather than killing the murderous bastard before he attacked New York.

for those of you bitching about the gas prices and about how there needs to be more regulation on gas and its use, how about when clinton let everyone speed and burn gas more quickly and less efficiently..

This is truly stupid stuff. YOur conservative leaders were laughing and slapping themselves on the back with "wag-the -dog" analogies and even some OsamaWho's? Clinton's fault here seems to be ultimately he lays low while the conservative leaders are jerking themselves off in the trees at night outside the whitehouse.
How about we send George after that Osama fucker? George didn't want to hear it.
.....clinton let everyone speed and burn gas more quickly and less efficiently..
Once again a cause which had republicans wetting their pants. An unbelievable amount of noise on their radio stations. It was a popular and easy win for them. A chance to score with business, states rights fans, and give a bit of a slap to the environmental set. The funny thing was that if it was as important as they were whining it out to be, why didn't they just raise the speed limits in their states anyway? They could've always. Clinton didn't raise the speed limits. He signed the Republican sponsored bill to drop a federal speed limit which controlled funding. Each state then did their own thing.

see, it is NEVER a liberal's fault....(of course, did we really think they'd take any responsibility?)
