he's actually on his second try in this vid, in France "first try" means first redpoint try, after you've already blown the onsight/flash.

It's always fun watching people climb hard stuff, but I wish a perfect camera angle would be discovered. I suppose the camera man would have to have a jet pack on to really get the feel of a route on tape. Maybe the invention of some sort of wench system for videoing routes is needed. I love watching bouldering clips because the videographers can show the strain, moves, and handholds from sit start to top out. Wish they could do that on routes.
