its just math...not all that freaky. The symbol index changes every time which helps add to the illusion

Go through series of numbers and you'll see that the little 'math problem' gives you the same answer over and over, so it's highly likely that the symbol that you're thinking of will show up in the crystal ball. For example:
70 -> 7+0=7 -> 70-7=63
71 -> 7+1=8 -> 71-8=63
72 -> 7+2=9 -> 72-9=63
73 -> 7+3=10 -> 73-10=63
74 -> 7+4=11 -> 74-11=63
and this works for other series of numbers. Whatever symbol is shown on "63" (and the other 'most likely' numbers) will show up in the crystal ball.
It's a nice lesson for people who are temped to give money and trust to 'psychics'.

The "answer numbers" are 72, 63, 54, 45, 36, 27, 18, 9 and 0. If you are doing the 'math problem' right, then you will always get one of these numbers as 'the answer'. Look at how they all always have the same symbol.

A strange thing I discovered the other day during one of my cross-state trips was that if you take any number and subtract its "mirror image" (i.e., 71 - 17) you will ALWAYS get a multiple of 9 (and also 3 by default). The only rule is that the difference can't equal zero (55 -55). Talk about frikkin' random stuff. It also works for 3 digit numbers as well and I would guess it will work for all numbers.

Okay, I'm a little slow here. Got that the answer is always either 72, 63, 54, 45, 36, 27, 18, 9 or 0. But just how does it know which of those nine magic numbers I'm thinking about ????
