OK everyone, This is a little up date from me letting everyone know what is going on. Jeremy seems to be coming out of the como very slowly. I talked to him yesterday and told him to lift an arm if he couild see me, and he did. I repeated that many more times while i visited with him. But anyways now seems to be the time when he needs everythe ones support. He need people to visit and talk with him as much as possible. If you feel that you are a friende to jeremy take a day off of climbing one weekend and come visit with him. the more visitors the better. I know it would mean at to him and his family and it would mean the world to me that the peopel we consider friends would make the drive to columbus to visit. If anyone decides they want to visit and need a place to stay please get in touch with me.

Allah,
You don't know me and I don't know you or your friend Jeremy, however I have put both Jeremy and you in my prayers. I pray for his speedy recovery both mental and physical. I pray for your strength, endurance, and stamina in the path that lies ahead. I had several friends just like you in the Military during the war.
I made it through the whole thing, only to be hit by a bus in Germany while on leave. I broke both knees, both femurs, rt ankle, 4 ribs, 3 teeth, and cracked a hole in my rt orbital they could'nt fix. I died twice on first attempt to repair the legs,
Anastetic was too strong for low blood pressure. I was then put into a drug induced coma for seven days. I awoke on the eight day in a body cast from my chest down. I did'nt know who I was, where I was at, and what the hell my parents were doing in the war, my last 9 days memories were a blackout.
I was told by all the "Specialists" that I would'nt walk unassisted ever again.
I was 19 then, I'm 33 now, I can not only walk on my own, I have an instructors rank in 2 martial arts, I mountain bike, I can dance(you should see it) I hike, rappell, and of course I climb the hell out of anything I can. I can see from photos on here, and posts about jeremy that he is young, strong, and passionate. I have no problem believing in my heart with a friend like you he will find the strength and will to get back to his former glory. And as for you, I'f I were ever to go back in harms way, I hope it's with a guy like you on my six(military for getting my back) I will probably be at the gathering so I can meet some of the guy-n-gals on here, hope your one of them, I was in the Army, but I love the Marine motto, Semperus Fidelis(alway faithful) I think it fits you well.
Stay strong!!!

Ditto that! I work in rehab, and have been involved in the rehabilitation of many coma victims. One of the highest determining factors of a good prognosis is age, another is support. Your friend is truly blessed in both areas. As he comes through the various stages of coma recovery, there may be days when he will slip back down a little. Don't let this discourage you, it's just the body's way of protecting itself.
