Raining copperheads

Warning: It's raining copperheads at Funk Rock. I was climbing Manic Impression when something fell past me, landing on a backpack below. It was a copperhead entwined with a bat. The copperhead survived the fall from the ledge above, but, alas, the bat was not so lucky....he was lunch. It was a young copperhead. He was not too happy about being knocked off the pack, but eventually slithered back up the rock, belly full of bat.

Ease up. I have seen a couple snakes fall at the crag and that story was way better than mine. So youngun I guess the snake you saw was shooting laser beams out it's butt and drinking tequela with Connie Chung?

Okay, youngn, sorry to disappoint, you are right, I should have elaborated, so....
before the snake/bat combo hit the ground, it landed on my head, wrapping itself around my ponytail before I got a hand off the rock. I knocked off the snake, saved the bat with my one free hand, set it free, threw the snake below where it landed on my belayer who was sitting on his pack. The laser beams then started shooting from its butt. He knocked it off so it could have tequela with Connie Chung. (thanks ynot for the story line
) And the snake lived happily ever after. The bat is forever my friend and now protects me against all evil spirts and snakes at Funk Rock.

So, of course, Connie Chung always comes along with you when you climb. She never climbs, just drinks tequila (swigging straight from the bottle) and tells stories of the celebrities she's interviewed. Often, her husband, Maury Povich (truth is stranger than fiction
) comes along. On this trip, he was already unconcious from Connie's first bottle. Luckily for him, he didn't move when the laser-crapping snake slithered across his face....
(yes, that whole thing was just to remind people that Connie Chung and Maury Povich are (were?) married!)

This story is really shaping up! Maybe we can get on Montel with it (is that still on?).
