I gotta give some props to SCIN for competing and finishing in a Half Iron Man race this weekend. After pulling his hamstring and mending a knee injury these past several months, he still competed and finished right under his goal time of six and-a-half hours. I'm so proud of him and all the other BAMFs out there today. Way to go, Ray!

Thanks baby.

I've gotta say I was going to not do it since I only had a few weeks to train but after reading about Hefe's Ironman it inspired me to enter anyway and just try to finish. I've gotta say Hefe is one BAMF. I only did half of what he did and I can't imagine doing twice the mileage. I did the Duo version though since I'm afraid of things in the water.
All hail Hefe.

Way to go Ray!! Kick ass for sure.
Also, major props to the folks who ran the 5K last night:
Diggum,
StephyG
Rhino
Dave Jr,
LLR
Agrigab (he ran 14 miles in the morning before the race)
Sarah Ventura.
It is so cool to see people pushing thier limits, from a 5K to an Iron man. Inspiring for sure.

That's really awesome and I bet he's super exhausted!!
Does this mean he actually did the swimming part?

What I did was a 6 mile run/56 mile ride/13 mile run. The swim is replaced by another run. My hamstrings are on fire and my calves are balled up to my scrotum.

That's pretty cool. You should try one of the Iron Man races next fall...but you probably couldn't avoid the swim in the Iron Man.
Wouldn't it be more PC to say Iron Person?
