So I was thinking about how to save money on an extended road trip. I have put together meal combinations that I think are easily kept (no refrigeration required!) i.e. Ramen and ketchup=spagatti dinner or Ramen and Mayonaise packets= Spagatti and alfredo sauce. Mostly I was going off of color. If you can use Ramen and some other ingredient. What ever color it was closest to is what you'd call it. Ramen (which is a type of pasta=it could be angel hair pasta. Add a pack of coco and you have Chocolate angel food cake...
So as you can see my formulation...but then I thought why live so poorly...
Then there is the question of meat. You'll not find a better source of protein. Fresh meat is not easily storable. The "storable" meat in the form of "jerky" is very expensive. So....I'm proud to say that I have come up with a solution of sorts. I'm hoping that you guys can help me with some recipies.
Dog. Although Dog meat is usually only eaten in Asian countries. I hope to adopt it to classical American cuisine.
Gives a new meaning to the term "hot dog".
My primary source for this "alternative" meat will be "No Kill" sheltersplus the occasional stray.
Who would have thought that for as little as $10 you could get 90 pounds of meat on the hoof! The best part is they "keep" well. Just feed them until needed.

Learn big money skills. Live like you are poor when making big money. Eat whatever you want while on the road.Ultra wrote: So seriously. Anyone know how I can eat on the road cheaper than resorting to pets?
If you make 75K a year, but live like you make 20K, then you can stay on the road for 2+ years for every year you work - living in style.
