Obsessively Working Out

Fortunately, I'm not yet afflicted with obsessively working out, though I do get upset when I miss a few days of aerobic activity. But for those who are borderline, I thought this article was interesting.

ok, but the article says 40 to 60 minutes and upwards of 6 times week is "ok"....

come on...seriously..how many of us can HONESTLY say we do that? at an 8 minute pace, that would be 45 miles a week of running is still in the "ok" zone..so many people say "Oh, I run 4 times a week"..or whatever their magic number is. But if they were honest, that lasted about 3 weeks, and now it is hard for them to put in a 30 minute run 2-3 times a week..first it is too hot...then it is too cold..then we are too busy...the we want to climb...then we are tired..then hungry....(I say all this because I am the king of good intentions, but I have come to a point where I can accept my reality of an expanding waistline.)

no, in this country, obesity is WAY more of an issue than over exercising.

I used to be that person. I would drive 6 miles at 11 p.m. to run around the high school parking lot because it was well-lit! I never even thought about the dangerous situation I was in! I was a runner, and by golly, I was going to run!

Then I became that excuse person. I'm in the process of finding a happy medium. I surely do need to do that!

That was me in college. It still is, but I reduced the mileage or take vacations. I was nearly 20lbs underweight back then.

Me too, Meadows. I was too skinny three years ago. I hope to lose another 11 pounds and have the good sense to stay there.

who wears make-up?

anyways...a certain friend of mine (you know who you are) says she didn't lose weight either...and that she had extra to lose

and if there was sooo much extra weight...I don't think running should of been the work-out...that's bad on joints etc
