Planning a trip, or atleast trying to

Post by Helno »

My self, my wife, and a few climbing friends of mine are planning a trip down to the RRG area, and I was wanting to get some info on a few good places to camp. With that said, my one requirement is a shower house or someplace to clean up. My wife is something of an outdoor snob and well... you see the need for the shower facilities (not that i'm against taking a shower). Any info would be great...

You can also rent a sweet cabin at Lago Linda, starting at $80/night. Split four ways, that ain't bad. http://www.lagolinda.com/

Lindas is sweet, I stay there every time im down which is a lot, it is quiet, piecefull and has really nice shower houses which i cant live without. it is close to all of the southern region and she has a very modest price for such a nice place to stay.

Allah is right, Linda is great, her place is just awesome and her prices are very reasonable. Where as mentioned you get peace and quiet, a nice clean shower room that you aren't sharing with 100+ people, Linda personally making sure your stuff is safe when you leave for the day and even some nice private trails and a fishing pond. In my opinion accomodations don't get any better at the Red than Lago Linda. I will never stay anywhere else as long as she provides her service.

Cliffview Resort has some sweet cabins and a lodge. I don't know about prices, but it is just up the road from Muir.

if your wife is a camping snob, miguel's will repulse her. it's not the cleanest joint in town. all the other suggestions are right on.

if Miguel's can actually repulse anyone than by all means bring that person once so you don't have to deal with it the next time you want to take a climbing trip here
