I looked back through the archives for some information but couldn't find any regarding my shoulder injury. Any body have any info regarding a labrum tear? It has started to impact my life activities.

Somedays I can't even put a shirt on...

Surgery is, of course, the very last resort and I am doing the right stretches but why is it only getting worse?

Not sure what a labrum tear is but I've been going to a bone Dr./Sports Medicine guy for about a month and a half now.
Think my right rotator cuff is messed up, combined with carpal tunel starting in my right hand.
He does the snap, crack, and pop thing, then ultra-sound and electrodes.
Seems to be helping a bit, and just started physical therapy yesterday which I think will help more than anything.
I guess my point of posting is to suggest going to a Dr. instead of asking of asking on here.
I'm sure you'll get good responses here, but nothing can beat a hands on diagnosis.

Maybe the stretches you're doing are not the right ones?

Yeah, see a Dr., that doesn't mean that you have to have surgery. Maybe some physical therapy would help. They could give you stretches and strengthening exercise to help.

unfortunately, I have seen a sports med Dr. and I've been in PT for about three weeks. I was hoping to get some frank discussion about the surgical repair and long-term healing...

You forgot to mention that it hurts everytime there's a big thunderstorm brewing. Weird, I tell you.

started the electrode thing today and walked away with a battery operated patch that delivers an anti-inflammatory. I hate hospitals and the feelilng of helplessness I have when I'm in those buildings.

Give it some time. We'll climb again someday. A few months ago I couldn't put my own socks on. I'm painfree now. It's tough to slow down and tell people"no I can't do that" but thats what it takes for awhile.
