Does anybody know about access to climbing at the cliffview resort? I was out there last weekend for a wedding and noticed some pretty sweet looking lines. Has anybody climbed there before?

-why do yo ask? People won't let you climb on their Land?
Out here in the west everything is owned by the Goverment. Millions of acres in every environment that you can think of .Mountains,Desert and by the waters, Alpine galdes. All for the publics use.

Back on topic, led astray by the Gumbies- if the lines you saw were from the area of the convention center, old helipad, or lodge they've been done! For a couple years the original owner-developer welcomed us to climb and explore. The better stuff was Trad. Beta Bill and his crew along with the Bruisebrother-Indy Mafia were active in this.T-Bone and Porter were in there years before and found little to be developed into any major sport crags. Since then the property has changed hands at least 3 times with backrupcy, foreclosure, auction etc. and back to the hands of the Bank. You would now have to approach individual clifftop landowners or the Bank for permission to climb again. Good Luck.

There is a pair of roof cracks back there we attempted. Probably about 15-20 foot horizontal roofs. One was hands to fingers and the other was fingers. I couldn't get more than two moves out on the finger crack but the hands to fingers could go. The only problem is needing a good 4WD vehicle to get back there.
