I climbed with a guide last summer in the Tetons that said you are new required to pack it out (@ Denali). I wonder whos job it is to check.

if animals are allowed to shit in the woods how come humans aren't allowed? Besides the original mention of the mountain...

I'll have to admit it. I once put my hand in shit on a climb. I grabbed the edge of a ledge and it squished between my fingers. Needless to say, I was pissed and disgusted. Disrespectful assholes. Pack your shit out, be it a rock climb or mountain climb.

Animals in the wild have the sense not to shit where they eat or sleep. They usually don't shit in concentrated areas. And, the pathogens in human feces are more dangerous to other humans. Or, so I'm told. And, human waste takes a very long time to breakdown (if ever) on a glacier.

Yes they do shit in concentrated areas. You can find a pile on almost any ledge and it aint human.
