EXODUS

Well, it's been quite while since I last posted. Man, what the hell happened to the other board?? Did someone finally get caught with an under-age girlscout or something??

Anyway, I'm no longer suffering in Michigan. Moved my tribe to Durango the day after Halloween. For the life of me, I cannot believe it took me four years of suffering in the farm waste-land before we moved back out west.

The move has been awesome, but the Red will always be on my mind. I never got a chance to jump on several cracks that will continue to haunt me until i get a chance to return for a visit. I'm presently waiitng to hear from a friend of mine who was heading down sometime soon to do The Quest. I hope he finds it dry, as he simply could not believe there was a 4-pitch crack line down there!!!! He's just busting into the hard 10's, so I'm sure he'll have a great time on that baby!!!

So anywayz, if any of ya'll are roadtrippin' this year, and are maybe thinking of going to Ouray this winter or Indian Creek anytime, drop me a line, I'm 2 hours from either, and I'd love to hook up with ya and go play!!

-C. out.

I'm glad you made your exodus.
I will now claim the throne as the Ruling Crack Climber of Michigan.

Cool. I might try to get out there this winter for some ice.

I hear there is some kick ass sandstone bouldering around there as well.

when are you thinking about going for ice, Wes? I'm thinking of trying to get out there late january for a few days, if I can boondoggle a business trip that is.

alot is coming in real well already this year. I've already done some of the longer routes up just an hour north of here near Silverton, and we're heading to Ouray this sunday.

Yeah Wes, the bouldering really sucks here, too.

CPB Have you done the X yet? I thought it was cool, but I hadn't been climbing very long when I was there.I sat on top and watched the Silverton train go whistling up the valley.
