I thought the weekend was crazy... but fun. It was good to see a lot of my buddies from out of state plus I like to see busy weeekends, once is a while, as Miguel makes a bunch of money, which he deserves. The crowds are always a challenge on 3 day weekends, you just have to accept it and chill out.

The entertainment Saturday night was a little suspect... J.R.'s funnny but inappropriate jokes, and dueling Rubik's cubes :? :!:  :?:
However, the video and the tribute to Miguel were great. Plus the weather was really nice all weekend.

Can't really think of any cons except for when one guy interrupted the slideshow to yell that someone's pizza is ready. Oh and JR's jokes.... :P

Pros: pretty much everything - from the pizza to the service to the availability of forks and tinfoils to the hot water in the shower, the parking, the availability of toilet paper and paper towels, the stage set-up and registration set-up..... I was a bit worried when they announced Miguel's as the venue but it seemed like it was handled pretty durn well. Kudos to everyone esp to Dario! :D

Ditto. Great work, Dario. The parking situation was handled very well, and I think that was everyone's main concern.

pros: what an appropriate venue to have a gathering of the climbing community

surprises: *most* people were understanding of the constraints put upon miguel & co. to churn out that much food and handle that many people. you won't find me cooking an extra 300 pizzas on top of normal on any given day!

concerns: it looked like maximum capacity for certain! if held again, maybe a shuttle service from the rest area for people not staying the night would be a good idea

question: how are YOU guys doing?

Great Gathering of Climbers. Miguel... you are a saint!

Best to keep my mouth shut on the stage show, but here goes anyway.

The Saturday evening agenda would have been better to include climbing-related entertainment or presentations instead of jokes about necrophilia, bicycle Sibians, raping children, etc. There were kids and geezers (who didn't have Bevis and Butthead for role models while growing up) present. A lot of folks in the crowd were embarrassed and offended. Yes, I know, we climbers are generally a rude, irreverent bunch. But, there really are limits to common decency and respect for others' values.

I'd like outsiders to regard the RRG climbing community as generally decent folks.

with respect to miguel's and the services, i have a really difficult time coming up with any real negatives.

pro's: i'm really impressed you guys were getting food out as fast as you were, considering the load. also, that you had enough supplies to keep serving through monday (when did you guys run out? i saw the sign up monday evening..). parking was surprisingly organized, if overflowing. people didn't ever seem to get annoyed or flustered, again, impressive considering the number of people.

suggestions: maybe a new system for getting people their order when it's ready. a lot of times it seemed either people weren't listening or it was simply too loud to hear the announcement. it wouldn't have to be changed for normal weekends cause it's usually fine. but with that many people and that much noise it can get difficult. maybe another trash can outside (in front) would help a little too, especially with people coming in and out of the store.

seriously, thanks again! everyone really appreciates what you do individually and what the your family has given to everyone.

Miguel and crew did an amazing job this weekend. Props to all involved. The parking flowed just fine, the area stayed pretty clean and the vibe was awesome. Thanks for doing what you do, you have helped create such a great community and scene. IMO I thought the food service was great , esp for the amount of traffic hitting all at once.

The video was cool and the tribute rocked. The RRGCC rasied a little $ and got some good publicity. Overall the weekend was a blast.
