Just introducing myself

I just wanted to say "Howdy" to everyone and introduce myself. Thanks to Jerry, Stephanie, Wes, Mia, Rhino and a friend of his I had my introduction to the Red yesterday (Sun) when I thought the initial plan was some indoor in Cincy. I had a great time and met some cool people (actually only knew Jerry and met all the rest through him rapid-fire, though w/o introductions
). The only picture I found right now was one taken during an adventure race I ran with my brother this past September running up TOWERING hill. I'll try to find a clearer picture to submit for your mockery (yes, I've read a few recent "threads".)
"Thank you and goodnight",
Corey

It's all good.
BTW, I seem to be too "green" to the list for the admin to allow me to send "private" mail within the server, so I got you're mail, Steph, I just couldn't reply to it.

Corey, welcome and hello.
Sorry about the problem with not being able to send private messages. You should be fixed now.

Have you been to the gyms in Cincinnati yet?

Yeah, a little. A few weeks back I was at Rock Quest with two friends (one was Jerry, friend of Chester's). Last Spring I was practicing at Climb Time (bouldering only...no climbing friends..nice seque there) until I severely re-aggrivated my shoulder tendonitis (college swimming injury) from all the inverted body pulling I was doing on top of my regular weight training. Until 3 weeks ago, I hadn't climbed since March or April.

Well once the holidays are over we will be back in the gyms. We hit both of them. Maybe we will see you then.

Yeah, it would be cool to have someone to climb with and show me better techniques. I have a tendency to use my "strengths" (namely strength) and not focus on possibly more efficient ways of doing something. Plus, if I'm with someone, I take more rest after a climb and my shoulders thank me for it by not throbbing as quickly (I know, symptom of too much hands, not enough feet). I don't have a "membership" to either place, because they're both a solid 25+ min. away from me on a good day, and my mid-week schedule is late and long as it is. If I lived closer to Blue Ash/Sharonville I'd be able to go more frequently.

We live that far now too. But the addiction takes over.....Hopefully we will meet you soon.
